I prefer the colours in these as they are a bit darker and less bright so they fit in with the conventions of the rock genre.

 

Also, I asked 15 people to choose which cd covers and posters of mine that they preferred, green background, or purple.

The results came back that my target audience preferred the purple version.

Update

After receiving feedback from teachers, I will need to improve my album covers and my video. To improve I will:

• Change the colour schemes in my covers to fit in with my genre better
• Possibly darker, less bright colours
• Experiment with different fonts
• Try different clips in my video, swap them round a bit
• Go through and see if any clips need editing to make the lip synching more in synch.

The poster links in with my album covers, it has the same picture, colours, and fonts, I think that it works well. Like in my research it almost just looks like a larger, A4 version of my album cover. Again, I used Adobe InDesign.

I have taken the purple gradient and the white stripes out of the image and replaced it with a green and white gradient. I think that it works better and gives it more of a solid colour. I am thinking I will need to change the colour of the fonts next and maybe experiment with other fonts.
